Meet Susan

I’m Susan, the founder of Harmony in the Falls, a teacher who believes yoga should feel welcoming, accessible, and supportive. My approach blends movement, longevity-focused practices, and mindful breathwork to help real people feel better in their bodies, at any age and any starting point.

I specialize in accessible sequencing, clear guidance, and creating a space where you can move without pressure or comparison. Whether you’re brand new to yoga, returning after time away, or looking for sustainable well‑being, I’ll meet you exactly where you are.

I’d love to share the practice with you, come as you are, and let’s build strength, ease, and confidence together.

I was first introduced to yoga 2 years ago when I signed up for an Intro to Yoga Beginner series at Harmony in the Falls Yoga studio. At that time my only form of exercise had been walking in the mall and physical therapy. As a person who had experienced a brain injury, I recognized my balance was weak and my confidence in my physical ability was lacking. I loved the Intro Course so much that I took it 3 times in a row! Since then I have made yoga a part of my daily life. I attend at least 1 class every day. For the first time in years, I enjoy movement. Even crave it! From day one, Susan met me right at my level of ability and encouraged me to modify poses to match the needs of my own body. My confidence in terms of movement has grown so much. My strength has grown as well. I take in-studio and virtual classes 6 days a week. I love the variety of classes offered and that I can join in person or on-line "live" via Zoom. It's been a great way to get to know and challenge my body while at the same time staying grounded. Practicing yoga has had a positive effect on lowering my stress level & increasing my muscle mass while raising my self confidence. Believe it when they say "If you can breathe, you can do yoga"! I consider this a lifelong investment in my over-all health & wellness.
